  1. [Video] Lykke Li – Sadness is a Blessing

    April 29, 2011 by Brian Kenny

    This is the new video for Lykke Li’s new single, Sadness is a Blessing. I don’t know the true meaning but through the video you get the hint that it’s socially acceptable to drink, smoke and do all of these things to your body in society. Yet to simply spontaneously dance in a restaurant isn’t. She seems unhappy with the world in this manner and states sadness is her best friend etc to convay that even though it isn’t acceptable to be yourself she loves to do it anyway.

    It’s certainly an interesting set of theories to put forward, we’ll say that much. Hypocrisy and bizarre lyrics aren’t anything original in the music industry, and her music video decidedly states that sometimes we have to misbehave to stay happy, which is debatable. Whether you’re off to visit FoxyBingo or you’re actually a musician yourself, we’re sure you don’t need to have a cigar to enjoy yourself, but then again, if you’re in a restaurant and you’re not salsa-dancing your way over to the salad bar, things could get depressing. Or so she says, anyway.

  4. [Video] Relationship focus

    April 27, 2011 by Brian Kenny

    I’ve fallen in love with this video. It depicts how relationships can slowly start to fade out between people so beautifully. How you can spend all of your time with someone yet feel completely alone.

    April 26, 2011 by Brian Kenny

    Nice and handy:

    service vz stop
    rpm -qa|grep swsoft|grep vz|xargs yum remove -y
    rpm -qa|grep swsoft|grep -E “virtu|-ez-|-tmpl-”|xargs yum remove -y
    cd /vz/ && mkdir _before_reinstall && mv * _before_reinstall
    mkdir -p /vz/_before_reinstall/etc && find /etc -name vz\* -exec mv {} /vz/_before_reinstall/etc \;
    check /etc/grub.conf if it has a proper configuration (no Virtuozzo kernel, Red Hat kernel is default)
    check /etc/sysctl.conf for tuned parameters which you might not need
    reboot the server

  8. [Video] Tony Alva, ever heard of him?

    April 13, 2011 by Brian Kenny

    Tony Alva is probably one of the biggest influential skaters of all time. He had a bad turn a few years ago and went a bit off the path and into a massive drug and booze addiction. Check out how amazing it is for him to turn his life around and to do the wonderful things he’s doing for communities:

    Your armed with nothing other than an iPad and your MacBook Air. How do we make this beautiful? Imagine throwing down your iPad on the conference room table, firing up your MacBook Air and finally Photoshop. You open your designs on your MacBook Air and it’s instantly visible on the iPad for the client to play with. Rotate, zoom and get a real feel for your designs. They’ll be frothing at the mouth.
