DNS Issues in Mac OS X
19Aug2008 Filed under: Uncategorized Author: bkennyI don’t know if this is a common issue or not. However, for some reason, some websites on my mac will not load. An example is www.mneylon.com.
I have tried in both Safari and Firefox 3, it just seems to hang with the ‘Connecting to www.mneylon.com…’ in the status bar.
It becomes strange, when I fire up my windows XP on parallels, it loads up find on both IE and Firefox 3!

I think I know what you are talking about. This happens to me on sites like google.com & apple.com. have you resolved this yet or have any more information?

Yea - it turned out, I’ve been using the same DNS servers, i’ve no idea where they are or who owns them, but always have been using these DNS servers.
I called our primary provider here in with - Smart Telecom and asked what their prefered DNS server settings were, inputted them, and it working like a dream. No issues. So your DNS servers are probably the issue!
