Yes yes, my wonderful and brilliant girlfriend has managed to get me a copy of GTA! She is a god, but from the sounds of things she didn’t have a easy

time getting one…

This is what I call a story that should be on like a ‘911′ TV show or something. She managed to go travel

from Sandyford to Nutgrove to Stillorgan to Dundrum all in search of a none-pre-ordered copy of the game. Nutgrove and Stillorgan had no copies left that were not pre-ordered. However… after nearly breaking down in tears in Game in Dundrum, the word was let out that Zavvi had a few copies for sale.

Ten or twelve Olympic strides later, she lands in Zavvi and brings back the bacon!

Back in my old job in Harte Hanks I use to spend infrequent hours doing nothing. Anyway, so after aprox 3 years of using the same phone, I was searching through the audio recordings on my mobile phone. I found everything from people screeching to people saying very strange things…

So I decided to make a song out of it

I have just read from The Register that some guys in Australia have managed to map all networking events into a Quake Arena.

Allowing the sys admin to tackle the issues with, wait for it, a Quake shotgun etc…

Why doesn’t the IEDR but an A record in for ‘iedr.ie’ just like it has for ‘www.iedr.ie’. If this could happen I would be over the moon with joy.

I just don’t like typing www all the time…

Oh ya - daddy’s got his own city

I was searching through the internet for a method of changing Safari’s integrated search box and came across this little gem on alexking.org. If you change a standard:

<input type="text" />

field to a “search” box like so:

<input type="search" />

In Safari, it is magically transformed from a standard input field to a “search box”. It can also have added functionality like remembering previous searches with an extra attribute:

<input type="search" results="5" />

This just in, a tux has been spotted falling about the place at an ILUG PoTD….

He was later seen with a Spanish and American (Mountain View) tux in an awful state.
